Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 6 March 2008

Ho ho ho, but hospital has proud history

• THE fine courtyard in front of the fine old Middlesex Hospital, in which I trained as a nurse some 50 years ago, was an impressive sight.
George VI himself gave the Military Cross to one brave theatre sister about 1950 in the courtyard.
Almost any name is more inspired than NoHo Court (Ho ho ho – they’re having a laugh with this name! February 21). Let it be The Middlesex Court. We always spoke of our training hospital (we had much, understandable, pride and standards were so high with certainly no talking across patients when attending to their needs) as the Middlesex Hospital.
Virginia Allkins, St Albans
