PGYMALION TICKETS
THE years have not dulled the busy wit and sparkling dialogue of George Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion.
The enduring comedy classic, the blueprint for the musical My Fair Lady, returns to the Old Vic for the first time in 10 years with fêted director Peter Hall at the helm.
Tim Pigott-Smith is the arrogant professor, Henry Higgins, who makes a wager he can transform Cockney flower girl Eliza Doolittle into a duchess.
We’ve got five pairs of tickets up for grabs, valid until the end of May (Monday to Friday).
All you have to do is answer this simple question:
Who played Mr Higgins in the 1964 film?
a) Rex Banner
b) Rex Harrison
c) Rex Marriages

TICKETS FOR
THE GREAT ESCAPE
BRIGHTON’S premier music festival, The Great Escape, takes place next week.
Three days, 25 venues, 200-plus artists – you could be forgiven for thinking it’s even better than the Camden Crawl.
And here at Grooves, we’re giving away three pairs of tickets for Saturday May 17.
You and a mate, a day out at the seaside, and more bands than you can shake a spade at. I don’t have anything against partying in Camden – but everyone needs to get away sometimes, and Brighton’s famous pier, plus a bit of sun, sand and sea sounds just about right.
The line-up is impressive. After building your sandcastle, listen to the ascendent star of Black and Gold hit-maker Sam Sparro, or chirpy Scousers The Wombats. There's also an appearance from Laura Marling (pictured above right).
Of course there’s a shedload of other bands playing, including established rockers The Fratellis and Cardiff monsters The Automatic.
So what have you got to lose? Just an hour down the road on the A23, or from platform 19 in Victoria, Brighton is every Londoner’s back garden.
