The Review - THEATRE
Published: 2 April 2009

In the wings

IF you missed Obstacle Production’s What Stirs the Spring at the legendary Calder Bookshop Theatre in Waterloo this week, fear not.
The dramatic monologues of authors canonical and contemporary, performed by Miles Barden and Joshua Dickinson, have two more atmospheric venues booked – at Bloomsbury’s Drill Hall theatre until April 3 and then Angel’s Old Red Lion on April 13.

UNDAUNTED by the economic doom and gloom? Impassioned about civil liberties? Rebel-rousing theatre producer Zia Trench needs you. Ms Trench is asking for single donations of £1 to take a play about the power of the state and the erosion of basic inalienable rights to the Edinburgh Festival this year. Loosely based around the story of the stalwart Parliament Square campaigner Brian Haw, Ms Trench is hoping to raise thousands for the cause.Enquiries can be made to info@zeitgeisttheatre.com
