THE opinions on war held by two of the early 20th century’s foremost literary lions, George Bernard Shaw and Arnold Bennett, will be aired this week.
Editor of The Shavian, Ivan Wise, tackles the subject on Friday January 25, at Conway Hall, Red Lion Square, 7pm.

ADDICTION gets up close and personal in Clean Time – a one-off performance by actors and writers at Pentameters Theatre, Hampstead, on February 3 at 8pm.
Northern Bridge ­Productions take a first hand look at dependency, followed by a ­facilitated discussion.

• IT’S the last chance to catch The Serpent’s Legacy; a modern revision of the Adam and Eve parable in which banker Adam attempts to leave the seductive House of Eden and its strict mistress Eve.
The shows, on Thursday and Friday, slither into the Conway Hall in Holborn at 7.30pm

LAWYERS with a desire to tread the boards are invited to audition for the Tricycle's forthcoming production of To Kill A Mocking Bird.
Harper Lee’s classic follows on the heels of other successful barrister/acting crossovers at the theatre, including 12 Angry Men. Auditions are on February 2 (1-6pm), and February 4 and 5 (7.30-11pm).
