CABBAGES and kings get a welcome return with Rififi Theatre’s 21st-century Wonderland exploration The Alice Project.
Come down the rabbit hole, through the looking-glass and into a world of jazz bars, music boxes, memories and love stories at the Camden People’s Theatre from December 17-19, 8pm.

THE wise men follow the star to an Islington church on Saturday for an evening of dance, music, song and poetry.
Based on the TS Eliot poem of the same name, Journey of the Magi will delight all ages alike at St James’s Islington, Prebend Street on December 15.

FESTIVITIES turn farcical and amusingly grim at the New End this Christmas in Paul Birtill’s black comedy Happy Christmas (pictured).
Directed by Conrad Blakemore, this
meet-the-parents tale of dysfunctionality and excess runs until Sunday December 23.

AFTER their celebrated production of The Maids at the Camden Fringe festival, Solas Theatre Company makes a welcome return to the Camden stage with Spoon River Tales.
The tale of inhabitants in the fictional Illinois district of Spoon River, adapted from the poetry of Edgar Lee Masters, can be caught until December 16 at the Etcetera Theatre.
