LAUGHTER is the best medicine, and even better when it raises money.
David Horovitch, Maureen Lipman, Rose Tremain and Harriet Walter all lend their wit and credentials to One Hour More – a benefit evening of readings, music and comedy in aid of the Camden, City, Islington and Westminster Bereavement Service.
The event is at the Cochrane Theatre, Southampton Row on Sunday October 28. Tickets are £30.

DEFIANT African rebel slave’s fight for a stay of execution in a theatre documentary by the artsXchange, Abolition? portrays the struggle for freedom in court scenes, parliamentary debates and narratives at the Friends House on Euston Road tonight (Thursday) at 5.30pm, and on Friday at St Pancras Old Church, 7pm.

TWELVE competition winners will be practising kung fu kicks in their bedroom soon, when they receive their smashing Shaolin Monks prizes. Floyd Duke, Zoe Sanders, Georgia King, Andy Byrne, Jay Ediri-wira and Lynne Smith all win a pair of tickets to see the monks perform live at the Peacock Theatre.
