In the wings

FAIRYTALES come to life in The Fish is Open, at Theatro Technis this weekend.
Inspired by the Hans Christian Anderson tale The Tin Soldier, the play follows a wounded soldier exiled from his home and embarking on a fantastical journey where birds recite poetry and rats run border control.
Performances are only on August 25 – 26, at 8pm.

THE world’s first carbon-neutral theatre is set to be none other than the innovative Arcola in Hackney.
The theatre has announced plans to install a biomass heating system, solar panels and fuel cells. as well as an energy technology “incubator”.
According to a theatre spokesperson, the Arcola aims to “marry artistic, entrepreneurial and technological creativity under one roof, providing a hub for new thinking and opening the door to cross fertilisation between the arts and the sciences”.

IT is our pleasure to announce the winners of the Buddy Holly Competition as:
Mr V David, Mr Roberto Murphy and Mr John James.

Each lucky winner receives two tickets to see the hit musical Buddy at the Duchess Theatre.
