In the wings

TEN lucky New Journal readers will have the last laugh this Saturday (July 7) with free tickets to see two top comedians previewing their Edinburgh festival material.

The first 10 people clutching copies of this week’s CNJ will get free entry to Upstairs at the Gatehouse in Highgate to chortle at the combined mirth of Hattie Hayridge and Chris Neill. The show starts at 8pm.

BIG Belly productions, a young theatre company that works with charities and new writers, will be performing in Kentish Town this week.
The Brother – A True Story, which runs from July 4 – 21 at the Lion and Unicorn Theatre in Gaisford Street, looks at the devastating effects of domestic violence.

THE giddy theatrics and shifting identities of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night will have a holier house for its three day run in Hampstead next week.
The Hampstead Players will be performing the play at the Hampstead Parish Church in Church Row from Thursday July 12 to Saturday 14. For more information, call 020 7435 7127.
