King's Cross objectors vow to continue fight

CAMPAIGNERS hoping to sink the £2 billion revamp of King’s Cross met last night (Wednesday) and vowed to fight on.
Groups opposed to plans submitted by developers Argent Limited met at the Killick Street Health Centre in King’s Cross to discuss tactics.
They have deluged the Government Office for London with objections, forcing Deputy Prime Minister to delay his final decision on the scheme.
The proposals were given the go-ahead by Camden Council last month and Mr Prescott is one of the last ports of call in the campaign to get the decision overturned.
Protesters say he should tear up the scheme because it does not have enough provision for new homes.
The King’s Cross Conservation Area Advisory Committee and the King’s Cross Railway Lands Group are amongst objectors who will press for a judicial review if Mr Prescott fails to intervene.
