Letters to the Editor

Bins are the least of our problems

• “Rubbish” is an apt headline for the photo of “demonstrators” including two councillors, regarding unsightly bins.
They are unsightly, but hardly worth demonstrating about. What about the destruction and devastation of our gardens that has taken place during the lengthy building work?
It has taken a visit and walk about plus investigation from our MP Glenda Jackson, to establish in writing that the building contractors are duty bound to replace and restore all plants and shrubs they have uprooted and destroyed.
With the exemplary and hard working caretakers we have, no one need struggle with the aforementioned bins. The caretakers will assist and help when they are asked.
I suggest these protesters find something worthy and important to protest about. Lets get our priorities right.
