Yellow line fiasco
• A recent rag that came through my mailbox extolled
the virtues of the local Labour Party and, in particular, the
painting of double yellow lines in Kilburn Priory.
I noted this in particular as I have been asking for these
lines for some years and finally received an acknowledgement
from the London Borough of Camden some months ago that, following
a visit to the road, they would indeed agree to my request for
these double yellows. I was therefore rather surprised to find
the Labour Councillors taking credit for my enterprise.
However, what is most distressing about this incident is that,
barely a month since painting these yellow lines, they are already
crumbling and wearing off.
