Letters to the Editor

Pupils did us proud

As a governor of South Camden Community School, I would like to offer my congratulations to the group of students who attended a memorial event at the European Parliament for the victims of terrorist attacks, especially those in Madrid and London.
This school has a diverse intake of pupils, and is close to King’s Cross, where one of the bombs exploded on a bus.
Mohammed Juned Kahn addressed the Parliament and expressed the view that the bombing served to bring all communities in London close together, demonstrating that London is a united multicultural city. He was firmly of the opinion that no religious belief sanctions the killing of innocent people and the terrorists should not seek justification in the Muslim religion for their actions. We should all endorse his views.
Cllr Deirdre Krymer
(Lab) Kentish Town Ward
