Rid the lock of dealers

• I am appealing to you on behalf of my fellow traders, residents and visiting tourists of Camden.
At a time when it appears that Camden Council is happier spending taxpayer’s money on traffic wardens than on stopping the drug dealers on Camden Lock Bridge, I f have to question the morals and integrity of this government.
On Saturday January 28 a man was stabbed outside Camden Town Tube station. The next day you might expect to see an increase in the number of police patrols. This wasn’t the case, just an increase in traffic wardens.
On the Sunday I walked over to Camden Lock Bridge several times and each time I was accosted aggressively by different youths, offering me “coke” or “weed”. I was also witness, as were several tourists, to deals going on in the vicinity.
How do they justify such an obvious imbalance between the presence of police compared to the number of traffic wardens? It seems that this government have the ability to use surveillance cameras in order to issue a fine for a traffic offence but not in order to deal with drug dealers?
Visiting tourists don’t wish to see this. We are struggling to earn an honest living and we are faced with these aggressive dealers.
