Iron and Wine: The Florida singer/songwriter will be performing tracks from his latest album, The Shepherd’s Dog. His progression from his early minimalist tracks to full blown grooves will be interesting to see in the live arena. The Forum (Kentish Town Tube) £15.
Jonah Matranga: He has been described as Elliot Smith meets U2 and his influences range from Prince to Pearl Jam. Pop along for an acoustic set of tunes. Camden Barfly

Sparks: The legendary duo continue their epic 21 date residency at Islington Academy, showcasing each of their albums. Saturday sees 1972’s

Sunday May 18
Black Mountain: The Vancouver five-piece have returned with their second album, In the Future, sounding more epic than ever. Judge for yourself if their Psychedelic Prog Rock is to your liking. Scala (Kings Cross Tube) £13.50
Jay Reatard: Reatard performs as part of a showcase of new live acts and DJs. The Memphis punk-garage-rocker will aim to blow the competition away with his Ramones influenced tracks. Proud Gallery Camden (Camden Town Tube) Free.

Monday May 19
Steve Winwood: The guitar legend plays a special one off show at the Scala, hot on the heels of playing with Eric Clapton at Madison Square Garden. He will be showcasing material from new album, Nine Lives. Scala (Kings Cross Tube) £25.

Tuesday May 20
De La Soul: The Grammy-award winning trio will play new tracks and old at the Forum. They have influenced the likes of Black Eyed Peas, Camp Lo and Mos Def so don’t miss out on a hip-hop master-class. The Forum (Kentish Town Tube) £22.50.
Jens Lekman: He has received acclaim across the board from NME to the Guardian for last years Night Falls Over the Kortedala album. Now you can witness his orchestral pop music for yourself when the Swede visits north London. Scala (Kings Cross Tube) £10.50.
Spiritualized: The English rock veterans return for more live action. Jason Pierce remains their only original member but with his writing, composing and singing they can’t go too far wrong. Koko (Mornington Crescent Tube) £17.50

Wednesday May 21
Hadouken!: The genre mashing Hadouken! follow up their Camden Crawl spot by taking over the Electric Ballroom. A mix of grime, indie, pop, dub step and punk should be enough to leave you captivated. Electric Ballroom (Camden Town Tube) £13.50.
We Are The Physics: If you’re looking for agitated leg flinching and so called ‘mutant science punk rock’ then look no further. Their decision to shorten their band name from We are the Physics Club and Therefore Everything we Say is Fact looks wiser everyday. Camden Barfly (Camden Town Tube) £6.

Thursday May 22
Cancer Bats, Johnny Truant: Prepare yourself for an intense evening of hardcore metal and punk with the UK’s Johnny Truant colliding with Canada’s very own Cancer Bats. Camden Barfly (Camden Town Tube) £8.
Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong: The new princes of indie bring a mix of garage rock and pure pop to the Scala. See if they can live up to the mounting hype. Scala (Kings Cross Tube) £9.
Give it a Name introduces: The popular rock and emo festival has even got it’s own tour this year. You can catch up and coming bands Four Year Strong, Meg and Dia, Mayday Parade and The Colour Fred.
