FOLLOWING on the JD Set tradition of bringing established musicians to perform exclusive gigs with the stars of tomorrow, The Wedding Present’s David Gedge is the special guest at Friday’s Luminaire show.
Gedge will host the night, which includes sets from Copenhagen-based The Asteroids Galaxy Tour and two Leeds bands – Official Secrets Act (who were signed in Tommy Flynns during one Camden Crawl night) and Hope & Social. He will join Official Secrets Act to perform a unique version of a yet-to-be-announced exclusive track.
John Peel favourites The Wedding Present formed in 1985 and the late DJ once credited Gedge as having “written some of the best love songs of the rock ’n’ roll era”.
