Ivy’s in league with Ollie’s new jazz series

OLLIE Rosenblatt, the promoter behind the successful Jazz in the Lund Series at University College School, is to team up with the London Jewish Cultural Centre and Ivy House for an exciting run of monthly jazz nights.
“On a personal level it’s hugely exciting for me to be working with one of London’s most prestige cultural providers,” Ollie says. “We will be bringing Europe’s finest jazz musicians to this cultural haven, which I hope will not only provide more gigs for musicians but also give jazz lovers another top venue where they can hear the very best jazz”
The first concert in this series takes place on March 26, featuring one of Europe’s most innovative and exciting bands, Alec Dankworth’s Spanish Accents.
The group will perform jazz standards fused with a Spanish flavour as well as original Spanish folk tunes with flamenco rhythms and compositions from Chick Corea and Dizzy Gillespie.
