BEARING in mind that nobody feels like going out, the New Years Grooves party planner is small.
As you may well have RSI from frantic online buying in the cheap glow of Boxing Day, you may not want to get back on the mouse – but here is one reason.
Sarah Grace, a receptionist from Camden Town.
This 22-year-old Mancunian who has been likened to Norah Jones and Jack Johnson, has beaten off around 1,000 entrants to get to the final 16 in a music competition, Slice the Pie.
She is now on her way to winning £15,000 and recording her first album – if she gets enough votes.
This is where you come in: vote for her at www.slicethepie.com, or go to www.myspace.com/sarahgraceband.
She said: “I’m really keen to win. It’s so difficult. Everyone can record from home but I really want to make a good sounding recorded album.”
Sarah, who has played around London for more than a year, says she “loves” the Camden scene, and has been seen at various musical establishments, but became more coy when asked if she has any celebrity fans: “I wouldn’t want to mention any names she said.”
Soon she may not need to.
