Demo of the Week
THE BAD ROBOTS

ROCK stars shouldn’t have ‘normal’ jobs with titles like ‘administrator’, ’cos it kills the myth, the fantasy. And if they do have to do a normal job to make ends meet, keep it quiet I say.
But, that shouldn’t blight The Bad Robots.
Singer slash guitarist Ben Larsen (who is, dare I tell you, an administrator), has more than enough charm to dump the boring job.
Just under a year old, the Robots have moved away from their initial heavily ska-tinged rock and concentrated on rock ’n’ roll, punk style. “But not the all out screaming kind,” insists bearded Ben, who lives in Chalk Farm.
The three-piece – currently looking for a bass player – have already rocked most of Camden, and even Frankie Spillane from the Darkness.
Listen to their all-singing and dancing set-clincher Day by Day on www.myspace.com/thebadrobots. Currently unsigned, it’s only a matter of time.
