The beginning of the mass looting in Camden

At 10.15pm Monday night, I had returned to Camden from work and walked up Oval Road (where I live) to Morrisons Supermarket. It was shuttered up and deserted. I could hear a crowd noise from the housing estate next to the supermarket.
Walking back along Oval Road I was passed by cars full of young black men driving towards the top of Parkway.
I thought nothing of it, just unusual in this area.
I walked through Gloucester Crescent to Inverness Street, on the corner of Arlington Road I literally bumped into a crowd (12 or so) of black youngsters (aged about 15) wandering around - looking for trouble I thought.
The last bar was pulling it's shutters down on Inverness Street. A police car pullled up and 2 normally dressed police officers casually got out.
I looked left at the junction with Camden High Street, 2 police vans and a police car. I looked left and saw a police van and the line of ordinary police officers and in disbelief registered the roaring hoodie mob being held back at Britannia Junction.
Not Camden Town I thought as I walked quickly back to my home in Primrose Hill.
