Our hero! Mohamed’s award for community work
FOUR community heroes from the Lisson Green Estate were recognised with awards at a summer festival on Saturday.
Mohamed Taleouine was recognised for his extensive work with the Westminster Arabic community, while Rose Doyle and Angelique Pallance were awarded joint runner-up positions. Stan Brown received a special achievement award for his many years of representing tenants.
More than 1,000 residents attended the day-long event that included performances from a Bangladeshi singing group, a traditional Filipino dance presentation, a French parkour workshop and several international food stalls.
CityWest Homes director of customer services Darren Levy said: “It was a terrific success and I would particularly like to thank the residents, volunteers and our partners at the Lisson Green estate who all played such an integral part in making this day the spectacular event it proved to be.”
