FUNK rock trio Halagoogoo have come a long way from central Bristol, where the band was formed three years ago in a kitchen.
Since then, the university friends have played Glastonbury and the Isle of Wight Festival and were touted by NME as being “destined to headline big venues”.
They’ve also supported bands including INXS and Scouting for Girls. On Wednesday, their funk rock with a disco twist will be raising the rafters at the Purple Turtle in Camden Town. They will be supported by post-punk bands The Detachments and The Brent Flood and the evening will be rounded off with upbeat songs by DJ trio Push, Play and Run.
