Make Up (London, 1983)
Every smile you make
A BEHIND the scenes look at the rock’n’roll band The Police is captured in an exhibition of photographs by their very own guitarist, Andy Summers.
The unique collection is at the Jill George Gallery in Soho.
The show stages a selection of 38 limited edition, hand-signed images taken when
The Police were at the height of their fame – more than two decades ago – and will coincide with the European leg of their comeback tour.
The band broke up in the mid-1980s, but
reunited in early 2007.
The Police Reunion Tour runs until early 2008 in celebration of the 30th anniversary of their hit single Roxanne.
The Police toured the world and all the highs and lows of their lifestyle are on display in this exhibition.
Summers
photographed band members while travelling, rehearsing and partying – not
forgetting their fans and many
landscapes.
