THE Foundling Museum is introducing drama workshops on the first Saturday of the month. The museum was Britain’s first hospital for foundling children. Anyone aged 8-13 can attend the Drama Club between 2-3pm and 13-17 year olds have a session 3-4pm.The next club is on June 2.
ADAPTED for the stage by LA Times Critics Award winning writer Simon Levy, this verbatim drama is a constantly updated documentary of the Iraq war. It employs direct quotes from politicians, military chiefs, soldiers, and Iraqi citizens to reveal the unfolding human story behind the US-led invasion of Iraq.
What I Heard About Iraq made its UK debut at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival last summer, picking up the Scotsman Fringe First award for Innovation and Outstanding New Writing.
Its tour ends at The Arts Theatre, Leicester Square, where it will run from June 6 – 10.
NEW End theatre is marking the 150th anniversary of the birth of Elgar. The composer of Land Of Hope And Glory was born near Worcester on June 2 1857. Gerald Harper plays Elgar in the professional production in June, with Janet Hargreaves as his wife, Lady Alice Elgar.
The show has a two-week run on Sundays and Mondays from June 10.
