Demo of the Week: Seeing Scarlet
ONE is a millionaire in rehab, the other is in a band tipped to be one of the breakthrough acts of 2007.
Seeing Scarlet sound like Robbie Williams but without the back catatlogue of Angels and other soppy songs to embarrass them.
Their demo’s title, Mental Notes, hints at the punkish dangerous line they tread, with sliding, driving guitars pushing them to the edge.
With names like Good Advice, Something’s Not Right, and Dead, I would usher them towards a counsellor ASAP.
Having toured extensively in Camden and had an underground hit with their first demo, which sold out within days, they are definitely front runners for success this year.
To catch them live visit Camden Town’s Dublin Castle on Tuesday.
