Children join the Indian dancing.
Drum’n’dance: £1m facelift transforms children’s centre

AFRICAN drummers and Indian dancers performed at the reopening of a Canonbury children’s centre following a £1million refurbishment.
The extended New River Green Children’s Centre, in Ramsay Walk, has new medical consulting rooms and reception area, and a sensory room for children with special needs. A lift allows easier wheelchair and pushchair access under improvements partly funded by Islington Council. Lib Dem children’s chief Councillor Paula Belford said: “The centre helps parents who want to work by providing good-quality childcare and access to training.”
