Islington Tribune - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 5 December 2008

Danger crossing

I USED the crossing in Upper Street for the first time the day before the lady was killed (Probe into shock death at crossing, November 28).
It is not a nice crossing. There is only enough space for a single line of about four persons, so getting caught in the middle made me feel really uneasy. By the time I crossed I thought that was not a place where I was going to cross again.
The problem is that the other crossing towards Angel station is just as bad.
They should look at the crossing situation as every day I see people take their life in their hands just to get their lunch.
Could they not move it so there would only be two roads to worry about and pedestrians would not have to pay attention to the road that turns past Angel.
