Mains burst gives drivers free car wash

THIS was the scene yesterday morning (Thursday) when a burst water main caused havoc in Holloway.
Police diverted traffic as the water spilled across Tollington Road near City and Islington College.
Buses crossing Holloway Road towards Camden Town were forced to give the flood a wide berth to avoid an early-morning car wash.
Islington police and the fire brigade cordoned off the area as water board workmen tackled the leak.
