Summer university starts this Easter

THE chocolate eggs are already flying off the shelves but busy parents need not worry about their children getting bored during the forthcoming Easter holidays.
Islington Council’s popular Summer University programme is extending to include the Easter break.
Activities will run from Monday 2 to Sunday 15 April. There are numerous classes and activities on offer to cater for all tastes, from making your own podcast, to street dancing and even Italian cookery.
Enrolment for Summer University Plus starts on Monday until Wednesday 11 April and costs £5 – then all the activities are free.
Full details about how to enrol can be found at www.islington.gov.uk, or by calling the ISU+ hotline on 020 7527 5641.
The Town Hall’s hugely successful Summer University has been running for a number of years and has been applauded by parents for giving their offspring engaging, education but, above all, fun and cool activities during their holiday time.
Councillor Ursula Woolley, Islington Council’s Executive Member for Children and Young People, said: “There is a great range of activities for young people to take part in this Easter in Islington. There’s something to interest everyone here – and I know many young people will want to sign up and get involved.”
