Mariusz fails to halt Town slide

KENTISH TOWN suffered more gloom in the Premier Division of the Spartan South Midlands League on Saturday when Broxbourne Borough consigned them to their 12th defeat in 18 games.
The visitors took the lead on the hour when striker Jimmy Martin coolly tucked his shot past keeper Netanel Elraz.
Town were gifted a chance to get back on terms when Anthony Wright was hacked down in the box, but Mariusz Serwin fired the resulting penalty wide.
Broxbourne doubled their lead in minutes when Matt Watts scored from close in to seal a 2-0 win.
Town manager Rak Hudson said: “It’s not easy when you’re at the wrong end of the table and people are all too happy to criticise, but I believe we are doing all we can as a club with limited resources.
“We’re staying positive and we will continue to work hard to improve.”
