Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 8 October 2009

Mental health challenge

• THE idea of a World Mental Health Day is a great one and let’s hope that this October 10 in Regent’s Park people may benefit and have a good time.
I fear though that like so many campaigns before it to try and reduce the stigma attached to mental illness that Time to Change will fail. The change needed is huge. Camden Mental Health Consortium has done some work in trying to raise awareness and it is a pity that it has to go and I hope that it still may be saved. If social services takes over, service users will have been done a great disservice.
