Published: 1 October 2009

Celebrations in memory of Heath campaigner

• CELEBRATIONS in memory of Bobby de Joia, founder of Heath Hands and campaigner for so many Hampstead causes, will take place this Saturday October 3.
At 11am the Vale of Health Society will plant a tree in Bobby’s memory on Hampstead Heath above Greenmoor, her long-term home in the Vale of Health; this will be followed at noon by a reception in Whitestone Garden (at the top of Heath Street), where a dedicated bench in the shape of two hands will be carved to commemorate her tremendous legacy to the Heath. We hope that as many as possible of Bobby’s Hampstead friends will be able to come to these events.
Ian Harrison
Chairman, Vale of Health Society
Renate Shaw
Chairman, Heath Hands
