In fashion Girls’ big week
TWO Camden schoolgirls this week shared catwalk space with fashion heavyweights such as Stella McCartney, Nicole Farhi and Anya Hindmarch at London Fashion Week.
Sara Sodnomjants, from Hampstead School, and Camden School for Girls pupil Lily Harriman, both 17, saw their designs unveiled in the final of the 2009 FAD Junior Awards at Vauxhall Fashion Scout on Tuesday.
The students, who were chosen from 130 competitors, were hoping to impress industry experts from Harrods, New Look and River Island with their flower-inspired dresses, which they had just five days to create.
Twenty-three young designers from eight London boroughs are vying for the top prize of a placement in the industry. |
