Target BritBowl National final in Blitz’ line of fire
CHAMPIONS the London Blitz will be looking to finish the regular season undefeated on Sunday when they face the Farnham Fast Lane Knights at Finsbury Park Stadium.
The Blitz clinched the Premier Division of the British American
Football League with wins over reigning champs the Coventry Jets and Sussex Thunder.
The triumphant team will now turn their attention to the play-offs, which is likely to see the Blitz host the Farnham Knights again, while the Coventry Jets are likely to face the Bristol Aztecs.
The winners of these games face each other in BritBowl XXIII, the National Final, on September 27 in Doncaster.
Sunday’s game is part of a double-header at Finsbury Park, with the Blitz youth team taking on Farnham’s youth team for a place in the play-offs. The action starts at 12pm at Finsbury Park Stadium, entrance is free and all are welcome. |
