Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 23 July 2009

Who is to blame for our being treated like dirt?

• WE, the elderly in Camden, survived the bombs of the war and now in old age, when we need help and are moving into sheltered accommodation, Camden cannot even be bothered to clear up after a previous tenant.
They slap on some boring magnolia paint to make it appear clean but refuse to take up the old fitted carpet left by the previous tenant; or even repair the floor; refuse to fix mixer taps; and refuse even a shower when one cannot get into a bath due to arthritis.
Are the Liberal Democrats responsible for this miserable penny-pinching of the elderly in Camden, or is this how Camden Council treats the elderly!
Like so much dirt.
