Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 18 December 2008

With prudence, plan for King’s Cross goes ahead

• TALK about taking my comments out of context to suit a headline (Council U-turn over King’s Cross plan, December 4).
Camden Council’s long-term plans for the Camden Centre and the Town Hall extension are still very much on track.
The proposals are key to improving our services to Camden residents, reducing building repair costs and giving council taxpayers better value for money. As a responsible council, of course we must, and will, take into account any impact the economic downturn has on the proposals, but with careful and prudent planning there is no question that the project is still deliverable.
CLLR RALPH SCOTT
Executive Member for Resources
