Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 15 May 2008

Not heard of the net curtain?

• I SOMETIMES think your excellent paper should be called the CMJ – the Camden Moan Journal!
Your last edition contained the most neurotic and selfish moan of this century (Sneaking a peek on the 214 bus? May 8).
The residents of Highgate have the temerity to moan about the proposal to make the 214 bus a double decker as it will invade their “privacy”.
Have they not heard of net curtains to hide what they do not want the upper-deck passengers to see?
If their logic, if that is what it can be called, is followed all single decker buses should be banned as well, as they invade the privacy of ground floor residences.
I suggest you start a comedy page where such views would surely belong.
