Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 24 April 2008

Lost teeth services

• I THINK the number quoted of 105 National Health Service dentists still providing in Camden (The whole tooth: 10,000 fewer patients visit NHS dentists, April 3) is wrong.
I picked up a list from the public library of supposedly NHS dentists in Camden as mine had gone private.
I phoned around a good number only to find that they, too, had turned private.
It’s also wrong to say that private dentistry cost is not much different from NHS. Has anyone looked at the private dentistry list of charges?
No wonder people’s teeth are going rotten.
What with dentists and three GPs surgeries being taken over, sadly we are losing our once-great NHS.
