Police drugs swoop

POLICE swooped on a crack den in Mornington Crescent yesterday morning (Wednesday) yielding a crop of suspected cocaine and cannabis.
Officers raided the Kings Terrace flat, off Plender Street, after being tipped off by suspicious neighbours who reported seeing visitors to the house clambering on nearby properties.
A 41-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs and are due to appear at Highbury Magistrates Court later this month.
Sergeant John Burnett of Regents Park Safer Neighbourhoods Team said: “This sends a clear message out that we will not tolerate addresses to be used for drugs in Camden. We never knew what to expect upon entering the property, but we will tackle criminal and anti-social behaviour such as this robustly.”
