Young Guns all kitted out for summer success

YOUNGSTERS from Carlton Primary School have been given a brand new look for summer after snapping up their first new sports kit in more than 15 years.
Footballers and basketball stars from the school, which is based in Grafton Road, Queen’s Crescent, have swapped their traditional blue and white stripped tops and blue shorts for a new stylish all-out white kit, with the name of their school printed across the front of the shirts in navy blue.
Now the school’s star footballers, who also play in the Camden and Islington Youth League at Market Road, have set their sights on winning a host of top trophies after signing up to take part in a series of competitions throughout the summer.
Top coach Abdi Ahmed, who runs the sporting sessions at the school alongside Sharon Power, was delighted with the teams new look: “The children really deserve the kit, it’s been a long time coming.
“They’ve gone to a number of tournaments over the past few months and felt a little left out when they’ve seen opposing teams wearing new kits. Now they have their own, and they can’t wait to step out over the summer and show it off.”
