Praise for young Gunners
FORMER Arsenal defender Steve Bould has praised his young Gunners side after watching them fire their way through the first half of the season unbeaten.
The under-18s squad have drawn just two games and won all the rest – leaving them sitting pretty on top of the FA Youth League.
With victory in the FA Youth Cup also in their sights, Bould, who is now a youth team coach with the club, couldn’t have asked for a better season so far.
Speaking with the Gunners official website Arsenal.com, Bould revealed: “I am absolutely delighted with how the boys have done.
“I genuinely believe we have a good group of talented young players and they have tremendous potential.”
Having been playing for the under-18s side since they were 15-years-old or younger, the teenagers are closing in on the first team having already featured regularly in Neil Banfield’s Reserves team. |
