Come dancing... Hundreds show off their moves at annual pensioners’ tea event
HERE'S a sight you don’t see every day. More than 1,000 pensioners foxtrotting and waltzing the afternoon away at a special tea dance at Grosvenor House over the weekend.
Veteran British comic actor Leslie Phillips was the star guest at the bash organised by Westminster Council.
Councillor Christabel Flight, the council’s older people’s champion said: “This is the third year we have held this wonderful event which has proved to be as spectacular and popular as ever.
“Each year I think we aren’t going to be able to top the fantastic achievement of the previous tea dance, but to my delight we continue to put on an event that just keeps getting better and better.”
