Pink binmen raise cancer cash

GENDER assumptions aside, but have you ever heard of binmen wearing pink?
Staff from the council’s waste management contractor Veolia donned the pink caps as part of the Wear it Pink campaign to raise money for the fight against breast cancer, raising more than £1,400 for the charity.
Scott Edgell, Veolia’s contract manager in Westminster, said: “We all know somebody who has been affected by breast cancer in some way. And we all have mothers, grandmothers, sisters and daughters who we would want to be able to get the very best available treatment should the unthinkable ever occur.”
