West End Extra - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 16 October 2009

We’ll speak up for the neglected and ignored

LABOUR'S increased share of the vote at the October 8 West End Ward by-election shows that, whatever the national situation, Labour in Westminster is a strong voice on the side of residents.
Labour’s candidate, Damian Dewhirst, did a tremendous job in getting round to speak to many West End residents and when he is joined by David Bieda next May I am sure that they will build on this very strong foundation.
Residents in Soho, Fitzrovia and Mayfair can be assured, too, that Labour councillors will continue to take up issues and speak up for the many who are neglected and ignored by Westminster Conservatives.
Cllr Paul Dimoldenberg, Leader of the Labour Group
