Nursery suffers vandalism attack

YOUNGSTERS at a Lisson Grove nursery have issued a plea to heartless vandals who are targeting their playground.
The children have called on the vandals to stop the “destruction” which has seen their climbing frame upturned, vegetable garden torn up and playhouse set on fire four times at the Luton Street nursery.
Staff claim the nursery was targeted three times last week, and on one further occasion this week.
Police say they know about the vandalism, and have advised staff to review the installation of CCTV equipment.
June O’Sullivan, a worker at the nursery, said: “Such thoughtless and selfish attacks, at the very heart of the local community, especially where it can only really affect the very young, has to be seen as a truly saddening sign of the times. I therefore urge friends or family of those involved to either come forward, or step in now, to make sure such behaviour is quickly and conclusively stamped out before it’s too late.”
