Restaurant shooting ‘was hitmen’

POLICE believe a double shooting in a St John’s Wood restaurant last week was the work of hitmen.
Officers from Operation Trident are working on the theory that the gunmen who opened fire on a 31-year-old man and 15-year-old boy in Harry Morgan restaurant were not part of a postcode gang, as was first believed.
Shots were fired at around 9.10pm, with both victims believed to have been in the deli part of the restaurant buying takeaway food.
The two victims are in a stable condition in hospital, and are being treated for gunshot wounds to the leg and arm.
Police want to hear from anyone who was in St John’s Wood High Street at around 9pm, and especially those diners who left the restaurant after the incident without speaking to police.
Anyone with any information should call police on 020 8733 4774 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
