Lord Mayor of Westminster Duncan Sandys meets children, staff and trustees at St Andrew’s youth club in Pimlico
‘Let’s club together’... Lord Mayor’s promise during visit to oldest youth centre

THE new and youngest Lord Mayor of Westminster has visited the oldest youth club in the world in Pimlico.
Councillor Duncan Sandys, who was elected last month, talked to children, staff and trustees at
St Andrew’s, which was founded in 1866, as one of his first official duties.
He spoke about the importance of youth work while taking on some of the children at table football.
“I have visited St Andrew’s over the years in my role as local councillor and have always been struck by the energy, diversity and positive attitudes I have witnessed,” said Cllr Sandys.
“During my year in office I will be aiming to raise substantial funds for this fantastic club that does such sterling work for hundreds of young people in south Westminster.”
