Olivia rolls out her flower bus

DID designers behind the new Routemaster got a little carried away after a few tokes on the peace pipe?
Not quite! The flower-power designs are the creation of nine-year-old Olivia Carrier , who won the “imagine” category in a special competition to come up with a modern spin on the classic red bus.
Ms Carrier, who lives in St John’s Wood, said: “I hope that there would be flower wheels on a real bus and wanted the buses to be colourful and bright.”

Nooks and crannies of Soho nights

DARK is the Night is the title of a new exhibition which explores the streets of Soho at witching hour.
Artist Jordan Baseman spent six months creeping around in the middle of the night to film the empty and dimly-lit nooks and crannies of London’s most famous area.
The footage is set against anarration by Lucy, a trans-sexual prostitute, who describes her experiences of working in Soho.
The exhibition at the Photographer’s Gallery in Ramillies Street
runs from April 24 until June 14.

Walking past Apartment C on your way to Waitrose certainly raises the blood pressure a notch or two. With its 1930s mirrored bar, lounge and library it’s more like a madame’s boudoir than a shop. Nestled at the top of the high street, it specialises in lingerie from all over the world, as well as selling costume, jewellery and perfume.
