• IT is good to know the former boss of the Royal Bank of Scotland will receive a £625,000 plus annual pension.
No doubt the bank will pay substantial dividends so that pensioners can again purchase a well-known brand of baked beans.
In most supermarkets tins of this stuff have gone up in price recently. Pensioners’ weekly payments have also gone up by roughly the same amount in price-per-tin terms.
