Safe home: Cosy reminder for party people
A COSY double bed has sprung up in
Leicester Square to remind revellers where they should end up at the end of a night out this party season.
The bed (pictured left) is part of a joint campaign by Westminster Council and the British
Transport Police to encourage people to think about how they’re going to get home after a big night.
Councillor Daniel Astaire, cabinet member for community protection said: “Too many people head out for parties with no consideration about how they will get home. Coupled with the effects of alcohol this can put people in difficult and sometimes dangerous situations.” |
