Building up business links with Hong Kong

THEY'VE barely been back a week but one class of students from St George’s School in Maida Vale have jetted off to Hong Kong.

Nine pupils from the school’s Mandarin club (pictured left) have been given the opportunity to meet some of the world’s top business leaders as part of the trip.
These include Hong Kong’s British Chamber of Commerce boss Christopher Hammerbeck.
The pupils are also due to visit the Fukien secondary school, Kowloon, to see how education works Hong Kong-style, while trying to squeeze in as much Mandarin as possible.
Loic Menzies, one of the teachers who helped to organise the trip, said: “It’s a great opportunity for us. We’ve recently become a business and humanities specialist school so hopefully we will be able to build links so we can keep coming back.”
